IDA Srinagar hosts workshop on implantology

 Srinagar, June 14 (KNS): The Srinagar branch of the Indian Dental Association (IDA) on Saturday organised a Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programme featuring lectures and hands-on workshops on implantology, aimed at enhancing clinical skills among dental practitioners.

 
The programme, held at a hotel here, focused on "Implant Placement and Precision" and brought together dental professionals and specialists from across Kashmir.
 
The workshops covered various aspects of implantology, including patient selection, diagnostic planning, implant placement techniques and management of clinical complications.
 
Addressing the inaugural session, IDA Srinagar President Dr Nusrat stressed the importance of continuous professional development and keeping pace with advancements in dental science to improve patient care.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
 
The academic sessions were led by experts, including Dr Tushar Chawla, a specialist in implantology from New Delhi, oral and maxillofacial surgeons Dr Altaf Hussain Malik and Dr Ashiq Ali, and prosthodontist Dr Mohammad Arif Lone.
 
The programme was coordinated by Professor and Head of Department at Government Dental College Srinagar, Dr Irshad Ahmad Misger.
 
Among those involved in organising the event were Dr Altaf Hussain Malik, immediate past president of IDA Srinagar, President-elect Dr Khalid Nazir, CDE Convenor Dr Hysum Mushtaq and Branch Secretary Dr Ab Latif Matoo.
 
The event concluded with a valedictory session during which the speakers and organisers were felicitated for their contributions to dental education and clinical practice. (KNS).
