Srinagar, Aug 11(KNS) : The District Soft Tennis Championship organized by Budgam District Soft Tennis Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council under the banner of J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association, concluded with awards distribution ceremony among the winners and runners ups of the championships.

In a statement issued to Kashmir news service (KNS)  reads the sportspersons of various age categories (Sub Junior, Junior and Senior) from Budgam district participated. The competitions were held from 9th August 2021 upto 10th August 2021 at Sports Stadium Chara-i-Shareef Budgam.

"Jahan Ara, Zonal Physical Officer was the chief guest on the concluded function and Angil Zahid, Vice Chairman, Municipal Committee Chara-i-Shareef was the guests of honours on the concluding ceremony, " it said. 

The statement futher siad that the chief guest and guest of honours gave away the prizes/medals to the winners and runners who performed well.

It also stated that the Chief Guest has appreciated the works of sports council authorities who provided sufficient sports infrastructure for physical and Sports activities for both the genders (Boys and Girls, Men and Women) who are showing their interest towards sports for maintaining their health physically, mentally and morally fit. 

"Basit Nabi, Secretary Budgam District Soft Tennis Association, organizing Secretary and other office bearers of the district Association thanked all the participants, office bearers and officials of sports council Chara-i-Shareef who provided every kind of assistance for the smooth and grand success of the district championship," it reads(KNS).
