Hurriyat (M) terms Pak PM’s statement as realistic

Condemns arrest of Waza

Srinagar, Mar 02 (KNS): Terming the statement of Pakistan Prime Minister, Mian Nawaz Sharief at the ECO Summit at Islamabad that peace and prosperity of South Asia was connected to the resolution of Kashmir issue as realistic, Hurriyat (M) Thursday said Kashmir issue is the main cause of confrontation in the region and resolution of this issue, keeping in mind its historic and political nature, alone could pave way for a prosperous and stable South Asia.
The statement issued to KNS said the conglomerate has time and again held the view that if peace in South Asia is to be arrived at then there is no other way but to resolve Kashmir dispute in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of the people of Kashmir.
The statement further said the economic empowerment of the people of South Asia and peace and security of the region was directly proportional to the sense of urgency that would be shown to resolve the vexed Kashmir dispute.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (M) spokesman has condemned the arrest of senior Hurriyat leader Mukhtar Ahmad Waza during a mass contact programme of the conglomerate and said trying to suppress the voice of the freedom-loving people and the resistance leadership with undemocratic and inhuman measures would never bear fruit for the oppressors.
Condemning the restrictions on peaceful activities of the resistance leadership, the spokesman said the ruling class was indulging in ‘politics of vendetta’. (KNS)
