Srinagar, Feb 14 (KNS): Paying glowing tributes to the youth martyred in a gunfight with government forces at Parraypora Hajin in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, an Hurriyat Conference (M) spokesman Tuesday said such sacrifices for the great cause of resolution of Kashmir issue demand the steadfastness and consistency on the part of the people for taking the mission of these martyrs and tens and thousands of other martyrs to its logical conclusion.
In a statement issued to KNS, Spokesman said safeguarding the sacrifices of these martyrs is the moral responsibility of the people and the struggle for the right to self-determination would reach its ultimate conclusion only when the entire nation gets united for fulfilling to take the mission of the martyrs forward.
Calling upon the people to make the ‘Kulgam March’ programme on Wednesday, February 15 called by the joint resistance leaders Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik successful, the spokesman said that for showing solidarity with the people of Kulgam and involvement with the resistance movement and recognising the efforts and sacrifices of the martyrs, people needed to make the programme successful at all levels.
The spokesman said attempts of stifling the voice of the freedom-loving people and resistance leadership was an exercise in futility as the resolve of the people for their right to self determination could never be broken by the brutal atrocities committed by the rulers.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The APHC spokesman said the only way of bringing peace and prosperity in South Asia was to resolve the long-standing vexed issue of Kashmir in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris and urged the international community that for saving the lives of crores of people of the region they needed to put in their sincere efforts to resolve Kashmir issue.
Condemning the continued house arrest of senior Hurriyat leader Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and other resistance leaders and banning of their peaceful activities, the spokesman said curbs placed on the movement of resistance leaders and banning of their peaceful activities had become a routine of the state administration now but these measures would not be able to break the will of the resistance leaders and freedom-loving people of Kashmir.
The spokesman has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Lahore, Pakistan and expressed sorrow over the loss of precious human lives in the dastardly attack he also expressed heartfelt sympathy with the bereaved families. (KNS)
