Says Kashmir turned into military fortress

Srinagar, Jan 24 (KNS): Hurriyat Conference (M) has strongly denounced the massive frisking and search operation in run up to January 26, the Indian republic day stating that this has resulted in big hardships for the general public as the entire Kashmir has been converted into a military fortress. Hurriyat (M) said the every year, India’s Republic Day adds to the miseries of the people of Kashmir as search operations are intensified, people especially the youth harassed, roads blocked, vehicles checked, two-wheelers seized and people asked to prove their identity every 100 meters.
Hurriyat (M) paid glowing tributes to three armed youth martyred at Binner village of Baramulla—Shaheed Shoaib Farooq Akhoon, Shaheed Mohsin Mushtaq Bhat, and Shaheed Nasir Ahmed Darzi stating that the sacrifices rendered by the youth have once again clarified that the people of Kashmir are engaged in a sacred struggle to free their homeland from the clutches of occupation and illegal control.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Hurriyat (M) said that Kashmir’s young lot is being pushed to wall through ultimate oppression and left with the no option other than to pick up arms to fight the repression. The spokesman said that Kashmir issue was purely political in nature and the dispute can be resolved by means of sustained dialogue with all the stake holders but GOI’s intransigence and military approach is pushing an entire generation of Kashmiris towards picking up arms.
Meanwhile, an APHC delegation comprising Musadiq Adil, Abdul Majeed Wani, Ghulam Nabi Najar and Jaffar Kashmiri visited Baramulla to meet resistance leader Khan Sopori who released after a long detention period.
