Srinagar, Nov 10 (KNS): Hurriyat Conference (M) has strongly condemned the arrest and detention of its chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq , who was placed under house arrest on Thursday.
“Mirwaiz was scheduled to lead march on Friday towards to Jamia Masjid which is under siege from past 17 weeks,” said spokesperson.
Blaming the state government for indulging in politics of intolerance, the conglomerate’s spokesman said “state government has been muzzling all voice of dissent and trampling the rights of the resistance leadership by disallowing them their just right to assemble and propagate their ideologies.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
The spokesperson has also condemned the police action against local youth on Thursday evening at Nowhatta. (KNS)
