Srinagar, Nov 24 (KNS): Condemning the arrest of its senior executive member, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, who has been detained at Sher Bagh Police Station in south Kashmir’s Islamabad region, the Hurriyat (M)Tuesday blamed the government of being ill-disposed and indulging in undemocratic means.
A spokesman of the Hurriyat (M) said Waza, who was heading towards Aishmuqam for attending the funeral prayers and to pay tributes to the three Mujahideen who were killed in a gunfight with Indian forces, was arrested by Police from his residenceon Monday.
Spokesman said placing massive restrictions on the political, religious and social activities of the resistance leadership and stopping them even from attending funerals or expressing sympathy with their families reflects the political vendetta the so-called state government has for the resistance camp.
Terming these restrictions by the ruling class as unfortunate, he condemned the use of excessive force by police and Indian forces on the people of south Kashmir’s Bijbehara area who were mourning the death of the three sons of the soil.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Terming the ruthless action of the Indian forces on the mourners from Bijbehara as fascism, he said the mourners were dealt with brutal force, leaving several of them injured.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed grief and shock over the death of Dr. Gul Muhammad of Nishat who died in a tragic road accident on Monday 23 Nov 2015.
Mirwaiz visited the Nishat residence of the deceased and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and led the Nimaz-e-Jinazah of the deceased.
Recalling the affiliation of the deceased with the Mirwaiz family and love for his noble profession, the Hurriyat (M) Chairman paid glowing tributes to the deceased and prayed to the Almighty Allah for granting his soul peace and place in Jannat-ul-Firdous.
Expressing sympathy with the deceased’s family and his wife, the Mirwaiz prayed to the Almighty Allah for granting them forbearance. (KNS)
