Srinagar, Apr 19 (KNS): An Hurriyat (M) spokesman while condemning the continued house arrest of the Hurriyat (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, APHC Media Adviser Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam, senior Hurriyat (M) leader Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and detention of other senior Hurriyat leaders and activists said oppressing people with excessive use of force cannot force people to give up their struggle based on just rights.
According to the spokesman a high level delegation comprising of Abdul Rashid Untoo, Abdul Majid Wani and Mir Imran visited several police station including Zakura, Alamgari Bazar, Lal Bazar and Nigeen to enquire the wellbeing of several Hurriyat leaders and activists detained from the past several days.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Terming the continuous arrest of leaders and activists as unfortunate the spokesman said it replicates that in Kashmir to raise voice against the atrocities is a crime. He said the arrest spree in nook and corner of the valley is eye opener for World Human Rights organizations which demands a strong notice. (KNS)
