Srinagar, Apr 09 (KNS): Reacting to the attacks on life carried by communal elements and fascist forces on the Kashmiri students studying in Engineering and Technology College Jammu and Dental College Jodhpur, Rajasthan following the situation arising in NIT Srinagar, Hurriyat (M) spokesman Saturday condemned these attacks and expressed grave concern over the safety of Kashmir students. Cautioning that if the Kashmiri students studying outside the state were not given adequate protection or their careers damaged, the spokesman said then it would have serious repercussions for which the government of India would be responsible.
Paying glowing tributes to the Jamiat Ahlihadees Jammu Kashmir former president, Shaheed-e-Ittehad, Moulana Showkat Ahmad Shah on his martyrdom anniversary, the Hurriyat (M) spokesman said late Shah had been striving for the unity of groups of various schools of thought and worked for the resistance movement which cannot be forgotten.
Spokesman said since 1990, under a well planned conspiracy, top religious and political leadership including Shaheed-e-Millat, Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq; Shaheed-e-Hurriyat, Abdul Gani Lone, Shaheed-e-Azeemat, Sheikh Abdul Aziz; Shaheed-e-Sadaqat, Shabir Ahmad Siddiqui; Shaheed-e- Ummat, Qazi Nisar; Shaheed-e-Inquilab, Sheikh Hameed, Shaheed-e-Masjid, Moulvi Mushtaq Ahmad and Shaeed-e-Ittehad, Moulana Showkat Ahmad Shah were martyred from time-to-time with the design to eliminate the Kashmiri resistance leadership and make it leaderless.
The spokesman said, however, these killings did not dampen the resolve of the leadership and the Hurriyat (M) leadership continued to carry forward the resistance movement as it was duty bound to take it to the logical conclusion.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Terming the desecration of gravestones of the martyr’s graves at Karimabad Pulwama Martyrs Graveyard in the dead of the night as a sacrilegious act done to undermine the sacrifices of the martyrs, the Hurriyat (M) spokesman condemned the incident and said this was done to provoke the people. Extending support to their peaceful protest demonstration, he said the protest demonstration against the incident by locals was just.
Meanwhile, the Hurriyat (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned the action of government forces in Aalsidora Veerinag for forcefully entering the residence of Abdul Gani Naik and assaulting him and his family, which led to Naik’s death. Expressing sympathy with Naik’s family, the Mirwaiz prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant Jannat-ul-Firdous to the deceased and grant forbearance to the bereaved family. According to the Hurriyat (M) spokesman, late Abdul Gani Naik’s Nimaz-e-Jinazah were participated by senior Hurriyat leader Mukhtar Ahmad Waza who also participated in the protests organized by the locals against the brutal action of the government forces. He expressed condolences and sympathies of the Hurriyat (M) leadership to the deceased’s family and dear ones. The spokesman said Waza also condemned the use of excessive force on the peaceful protestors who participated in this protest.
Meanwhile, the APHC spokesman has condemned the forcible occupation of a public park at Batwara Srinagar by the Indian Army. The spokesman said the park is being used as a play ground for children and for the social and recreational activities of locals. He denounced the Army’s action of foceibly occupying this park.
