‘Govt’s approach towards resistance leadership is a pure political vendetta’

Srinagar, Jul 24 (KNS): Hurriyat Conference (M) spokesman strongly condemned the arrest of its delegation who were on way to Beerwah in Budgam district to express solidarity and to offer fateha prayers of Martyred youth Tanvir Ahmed Wani, who was recently killed by the Army in cold blood.
The delegation comprising Mushtaq Ahmed Sofi, Peer Ghulam Nabi, Farooq Ahmed Saudagar and Muhammad Sidiq Hazar were arrested by the police and their vehicle also seized .They have been lodged in police station Beerwah.
The spokesman said it is the ultimate level of military oppression and highhandedness in Kashmir that people are not even being allowed to mourn the deaths and to express sympathy with the bereaved families.
The spokesman termed the approach of government and its forces towards resistance leadership as a pure political vendetta which is aimed at muzzling the genuine dissent in Kashmir and also to build pressure on the camp to stop raising people’s voice.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The spokesman said history is witness aid that military might has failed to muzzle the genuine struggles based on truth and huge sacrifices.
Meanwhile, senior Hurriyat Conference (M) leader Mukhtar Ahmed Waza visited Dialgam, Wahihama, and Arwani areas of Anantnag district and expressed solidarity with the family members of slain youth.
Speaking on the occasion, Waza said Kashmir struggle is based on true aspirations of people and has thousands of sacrifices offered by people for a sacred cause and the leadership was bound to take the mission of martyrs forward towards the ultimate goal of freedom. (KNS)
