Srinagar, Apr 24 (KNS): Hurriyat Conference (G) today rejected internal autonomy as a possible solution to the Kashmir issue and reiterated his stand to continue the ongoing struggle for the right of self determination.
In a statement issued to KNS, Hurriyat (G) said people of Kashmir fighting for the complete freedom from Indian occupation since last 7 decades and not for the rhetoric autonomy .Holding NC and congress responsible for all the miseries, Hurriyat said, NC since its existence changing its slogans from autonomy to self determination at times, and using such slogans as trump cards to deceive people of Kashmir.
This party (NC) used to use slogans like Autonomy when they out of power only for the sake of power and chair. Hurriyat conference said, that the national conference believed in politics of deceit, and has the ‘capability’ of changing its colors like chameleons and the history of their 30year rule is testimonial for it.
Hurriyat Conference (G) in a statement said, people of India, Pakistan and Kashmir’s in particular losses its generations and paying heavy price for such uncertainty which we witnessed and it was sheikh Mohammad Abdullah who on the basis of his personnel equation with Jawahar Lal Nehru handed Kashmir on his lap, and adding, that it was in 1938 which changed the discourse of Kashmir when sheikh Abdullah changed Muslim Conference into national conference. The said conversion of Muslim Conference into National Conference was an act of treason with blood of martyrs of 13th July 1931. “Its purpose was to forge alliance with the Indian National Congress to attain power.
In a statement to KNS, Hurriyat said it was the same sheikh Abdullah who being a peoples representative helped Maharaja to give Kashmir in indias lap and Sheikh Abdullah himself mentioned in Atashi Chinar that Gandhiji was not ready to send Indian army to Kashmir but he Sheikh Abdullah convinced him to safeguard the secularism, India must send its troops to Kashmir.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Moreover, when world community pressurized India to hold plebiscite in Kashmir Sheikh Abdullah in 1948 at UN Security Council opposed the such demand and when UN nominated Sir Owen Dixon as Kashmir representative to assess plebiscite scenarios then Sheik Abdullah in 27th Oct 1950 decided to establish constitutional assembly to legitimize Indian accession.
Hurriyat Spokesman said when India arrested Sheikh Abdullah in 9th Aug1953 and topple his regime then he again remembered the pain and aspirations of people and opened the plebiscite front in 1955 with his close aid Afzal Beigh. But In 1975 after the two decades of struggle diverted the resistance movement of Kashmir and Sheikh Abdullah through it vandalized the Plebiscite Front and right to self determination movement. “When he (Sheikh Abdullah) went ahead for Indira Abdullah Accord”. The million dollar question is that people also need to introspect as in 1977 people gifted 58 seats to Sheikh Abdullah and have been repeating the mistakes of same parlances, in and out of assembly till 1982 and never uttered a single word nor they ever serious about the so called Autonomy," he added.
Hurriyat (G) in his statement said whenever NC has been in power they used to advocating bombardment on Azad Kashmir and Pakistan and in opposition their love for Pakistan and oppressed Kashmir including Autonomy is mere a lip service and hallow sloganeering so people must introspect desist from their deceit politics.
