Srinagar, Mar 11 (KNS): Hurriyat Conference (G) blamed State administration for implicating political leaders and activists in fictitious cases & demanded immediate release of all pro-freedom activists, languishing in different jails.
Terming its leader Abdullah Nasir’s detention as unjustified and illegal, Hurriyat (G) urged his immediate release & said that he is languishing in jail since last two & half year.
In a statement issued to KNS, Hurriyat (G) stated that district president (Kulgam) Mohammad Shaban Dar, Sheikh Mohammad Yusuf, Master Ali Mohammad, Ab Subhan Wani, Ab Rehman Tantrey, Manzoor Ahmad Kaloo, Ab Khaliq Regu, Ab Rashid Wani and Hakim-u-Rehman Sultani, are ailing from different ailments and no proper medical treatment is provided to them. Neither they are being treated for ailments nor released, to facilitate their proper medical care, said Huriyat.
Hurriyat Conference (G) while taking dig at ICRC, said that they have moral obligation to take care of these detainees, however for unknown reasons they since long have not visited these detention centres.
Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar while referring to false charges framed against its leader, Nasir Abdullah, said that police framed fictitious case under section 302 & however failed to prove evidences in court and he was equited from all charges. Later police booked him several times and slapped PSA which too were quashed in judiciary. Spokesman said that despite being bailed out by court, he in sequence is being slapped with PSA.
Blaming police, spokesman said that he is being subjected to vengeance and said that they are creating hurdles in his release. He is a respectable citizen and believes in peaceful political activities, said Hurriyat Conference (G) and while hailing his services said that we are all praise for his commitment and salute him for his dedication and commitment.
During recent people’s uprising many elderly and ailing activists were arrested and in absence of proper medical care, their condition has deteriorated, said Hurriyat.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Hurriyat (G) while referring to its district president (Kulgam), presently lodged in Kot Bhalwal, said that his both kidneys have developed complicacies and needs specialized treatment and investigation, however, is being ignored by jail authorities.
Hurriyat Conference (G) expressed its deep concern over the plight of prisoners and said that many prison inmates are suffering from various diseases and their condition has deteriorated since no proper treatment is provided to them.
Seventy-year old Master Ali Mohamad is presently lodged in Baramulla jail and his health status too is deteriorating because of lack of specified treatment. Though he was bailed out by court, however, denying the court orders, authorities are not releasing him nor he is being provided with medical consultations.
Hurriyat (G) expressed its serious concern about elderly pro-freedom leaders, Sheikh Mohamad Yusuf & Mohamad Rustum Bhat and blamed authorities for prolonging their detention.
Hurriyat blamed PDP & BJP led coalition for their callous approach, & said that by denying the court orders, they have turned state into a big jail and hundreds of peaceful civilians are languishing in detention centres on the pretext of preventive custody.
In an appeal to ICRC, Amnesty International and international organisation for human rights, Huriyat impressed to take their cognizance and use influence for immediate release of all detainees.
Meanwhile, Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G), Syed Ali Geelani expressed his deep grief over the demise of mother of incarcerated leader of Muslim League, Mohamad Rafiq Ganai.
Praying for the departed soul, Syed Ali Geelani criticised State authorities for their apathetic approach & said that they refused to release him and consequently couldn’t attend last rituals. Syed Ali Geelani while extending his condolences prayed for the bereaved family to bear this loss. (KNS)
