Srinagar, Feb 24 (KNS): Hurriyat Conference (G) on Wednesday held an Executive Body (Majlis-i-Shoura) meeting which was presided over by the senior Hurriyat (G) leader and the Secretary General of the forum Shabir Ahmad Shah at his Sanatnagar office and which was attended by the heads or the representatives of most of the constituents of the forum.
The Hurriyat advisory council criticized the administration and police for prevented the proper and suitable burial of the martyrs of the Pampore gunfight and nor did they allowed the people to perform the last rites of those bravehearts.
While calling for funeral prayers in absentia for the three martyrs on 25 February Thursday after the Zuhar prayers (After-noon prayers) at Pampore, Hurriyat Conference (G) said that it is our religious obligation to offer funeral prayers to any Muslim who dies or achieves martyrdom and restricting this process is the direct interference into the religious affairs and this government action will in no way be accepted and tolerated.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Government have to be cautious in the future and should not repeat these silly acts. The Majlis-i-Shoura appealed the people to participate in the proposed funeral prayers in absentia at Pampore and organize special prayers for the Martyrs. (KNS)
