Srinagar, May 28 (KNS): Strongly condemning the government restrictions over a Scholars Meeting in Rajouri called by the “Jammu Kashmir Peoples Movement” a constituent of the forum and not allowing the Civil Society members Hameeda Nayeem, Dr. Javaid Iqbal, and ZG Mohammad to attend the meet who were sent back by the police from the “Peer Ki Galli” on Mughal road, Hurriyat (G) said that the Jammu region is already declared as a restricted area for the pro-freedom people but today the civil society members too were not allowed to enter the area and the state police deported them in such a way as if they were entering any other country without their passports.
Hurriyat said that the RSS and the Sangh Parivar is not only working on to divide the people of the state but they also want to isolate the Jammu Muslims from their Kashmiri brethren so that they could repeat the genocide of 1947 there.
Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar said that the recent statement of the BJP minister Chaudhary Lal Singh should be taken as warning in this regard which they can practice anytime in the future.
He said that the communal forces in Jammu are not only providing arms training to their activists and providing them weapons but they are also using the Temples as ammunition depots there. The arms marches and the weapon worship recently held in Jammu city was an indication for the Muslims of the area to be cautious and don’t ever think of any resistance.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that the Jammu Muslims are facing worst situations as besides the Indian army, police and taskforce the VDC terrorists and the fanatic communal forces have made their lives a hell.
He said that to think over this situation the Jammu based Muslim parties like “Jammu Kashmir Peoples Movement” and “Freedom Movement Jammu” had organized a meeting in this regard but the government restrict the movement of these parties and they are not even allowed to hold meetings. “Jammu Kashmir Peoples Movement” had organized a scholarly debate in Rajouri on 28th May and many prominent civil society members from the Valley were also invited in that but Hameeda Nayeem, Dr. Javaid Iqbal, and ZG Mohammad were stopped by the police at “Peer Ki Galli” Mughal road and forced them to return back when they were proceeding to Rajouri to attend the meet.
While terming the government action as the worst kind of state terrorism, the Hurriyat Conference said that this action had no moral justifications and it is totally an undemocratic act.
Hurriyat (G) cautioned that the pro-freedom leadership is closely monitoring the situations in the Jammu region and any untoward incident will trigger a wild storm in the entire state. (KNS)
