Srinagar, Oct 05 (KNS): While condemning the arrest of DeM chief Mohtrama Aasia Andrabi, Hurriyat Conference (G) has said that caging pro-freedom leadership can never suppress the echo of Azadi.
According to a statement issued to KNS, referring to her bad health, Hurriyat (G) said that detaining an ill female is shameful for the so-called Indian democracy. It is not the voice of a few people, whom establishment will put behind bars, create graveyard silence and then claim to have won the battle. It is the collective voice of masses and can’t be silenced by whatever force and repression the occupier uses.
Hurriyat (G) has expressed its deep concern over the large scale arrests and appealed Bar Association to speed up the legal procedure and ensure their early release, especially the leaders like Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Mohammad Yasin Malik, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Noor Mohammad Kalwal, Showkat Ahmad Bakshi, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Ayaz Akbar and all others.
Referring to the reports that Director Health has issued orders to bear the expenses of the ambulances used in recent months by doctors and paramedical staff and advice to doctors to use private vehicles to reach the hospital, Hurriyat said that instead of awarding the medical fraternity for their tiresome efforts in the volatile circumstances, even endangering their own life, authorities on the behest of their political mentors are using their authority to sabotage the ongoing movement.
Hurriyat Conference (G) has said that order to use private transport is nothing but to increase the vehicular movement on roads and create a pseudo impression of normalcy which is desperately needed by the government and their bureaucratic henchmen. Hurriyat Conference (G) has strongly reacted to the reports about hotels and some clubs being used for elicit activities, which include Amar Singh Culb Ram Munshi Bagh, JIO sim office Rajbagh, BSNL Sonawar & lal Chowk and Royal Spring Golf Course Santoor. According to reports they have been the centers of illegal and immoral activities.
Hurriyat (G) said that when whole valley is drenched in blood, thousands of youth languishing in jails and scores injured and crippled for life, these rogue and knave elements of the society under the patronage of ruling politicians of a famous trade and culture hub of the city, are busy in these anti-social activities. Hurriyat said that these business tycoons have already sucked the blood of Kashmiries and now they use the same wealth to get to the power corridors of Delhi.
Hurriyat (G) while condemning the authorities for forcing the employees of government press Lal Chowk to attend their office, has said that by doing so government has accepted their defeat and helplessness. Reacting to the reports of some employees attending office especially AG’s Office, Hurriyat said that we have neither executive power nor any perks to offer, so that the employees can be stopped from going to the duty. As earlier, today also, we only appeal and address their conscience that when nation as a whole is fighting for a just cause with everything at stake, how can people, mostly educated like you, can think of siding with killers and oppressors. Has education not taught you the meaning and difference between good and bad, truth and falsehood & slavery and freedom. If knowingly and willingly you opt for siding with brute forces or their stooges instead of your own people just for salary, we have no other option then to mourn your conscious. (KNS)
