Srinagar, Feb 22 (KNS): Hurriyat (G) on Monday called for peaceful protests and shutdown against the harassment of Kashmir students studying outside the state.
General Secretary of Hurriyat (G), Shabir Ahmad Shah who was addressing a news conference on behalf of Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani said that a peaceful sit-in protest will be held at district headquarters after Friday congregational prayers.
Shah appealed people to observe complete shutdown on February 27 (Saturday) against the harassment of Kashmiri students in Delhi and detention of SAR Geelani.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that the harassment of Kashmiri students is unacceptable.
Pertinently, Geelani has left for Delhi on February 6 after he complained of chest pain.
Geelani according to party spokesman was not feeling well for the past few months as he remained confined at one place because of house arrest and due to which he left for Delhi for treatment. (KNS)
