While reacting sharply over the statement of National Conference expelled leader who recently switched over from NC to PDP Mehboob Beigh in which he had justified the illegal house detention of Syed Ali Geelani and the banning of his party convention, Hurriyat (G) advised Beigh that he should issue statements within his limits and he should not interfere in such issue which are much bigger than his status. Hurriyat conference (G) said that the detention of Syed Ali Geelani and banning of his political activities is the worst kind of state terrorism and in a wish to become more loyal than the king, Beigh had tried to put veil over the government hooliganism.
In a statement issued to KNS, Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar said that while justifying the restrictions over Syed Ali Geelani in an interview to English daily, Mehboob Beigh said that “Syed Ali Geelani doesn’t have a good track record and wherever he goes, it is followed by stone pelting”.
Hurriyat (G) spokesman said that it is a white lie and there is no practical evidence in support of this. The continuous detention of Syed Ali Geelani is because of that he is representing the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiri people and wherever he goes, thousands of people assemble there to demand the freedom from India. This situation not only prove humiliating for India on international levels but it also expose the lies of the local pro-Indian politicians that they are just working as agents of the New Delhi and they have no constituency on ground.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHurriyat (G) Spokesman reminded Beigh that when he was in NC and had not changed over to PDP, Omer Abdullah government just for experiment released Syed Ali Geelani for few days in November 2013. During this period, Syed Ali Geelani organized 5 mega public rallies in different districts which were attended by lakhs of common people but not a single stone pelting incident happened in those rallies and they remained cent percent peaceful. Spokesman said that the stone pelting occurs when the police use force over the peaceful rallies and programs. It is a natural process and blaming Syed Ali Geelani for that is fraudulence and a clear lie. He said that the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat convention which was scheduled at 23 August was a peaceful and a disciplined program in every way but government banned it after which the people protested against that. It is a common thing that banning the peaceful political activities ends with protests and anger and these principles cannot be changed in any era.
Hurriyat (G) spokesman addressed Mehboob Beigh that the politicians who switch over from one party to another doesn’t have such a position that they can comment over the big issues. These people are nowhere trusted and they are looked with suspicious eyes. It is alright that you got a post in PDP but you are not considered trustworthy here also so care for yourself and don’t issue controversial statements. (KNS)
