Srinagar, Feb 12 (KNS): Hurriyat (G) Secretary General Shabir Ahmad Shah, Provincial President Nayeem Ahmad Khan and Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar continue to remain under house arrest on Friday and police forcibly stopped them from the Friday prayers while as JKLF leader Mohammad Yasin Malik and his other party men are still in Srinagar central Jail.
While strongly condemning the government actions, Hurriyat (G) said that the Jammu and Kashmir has been converted into a prison and the freedom of expression has been completely banned here.
Hurriyat (G) spokesman said that many events and programs were scheduled in Kashmir on 9 and 11 February in the honour and memory of the two great sons of the soil Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Mohammad Afzal Guru and these programs were peaceful in every respect but the government not only banned these events but they detained entire pro-freedom camp into the jails, houses, police stations and interrogation centers. It is the worst kind of state terrorism which has no constitutional or legal justification.
Spokesman said that the Indian state has one and unchanged policy with regarding to the pro-freedom people of Kashmir whether the state is ruled by Governor, PDP, National Conference or any other pro-Indian political party and their every inch of political space is choked.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The state police in this regard is playing a very pro-active role and they without any constitutional and legal justification detain and imprison the pro-freedom leadership at their will.
This situation has created an environment of suffocation and there is a graveyard like silence in the state.
Spokesman said that the censor policy with regarding to the political activities is disheartening the Kashmiri youths from the political struggle. It is such a dangerous aspect of the picture which can prove very disastrous.
Hurriyat (G) spokesman said that it can be the well thought out plan of India by which they can maintain the prevailing disharmony and disorder in the state so that its oppressive forces will continue their atrocities upon the people of Jammu & Kashmir. (KNS)
