'Such bold political initiatives are only way forward'

Srinagar, Mar 15 (KNS): Hurriyat (M) spokesman Tuesday welcomed the proposed meeting between the Indian and Pakistani External Affairs Ministers, Sushma Swaraj and Sartaj Aziz on the sidelines of the SAARC ministerial meeting in Nepal on March 17.
Welcoming the foreign minister-level talks that is expected to draw a roadmap for further meetings between the two countries on a range of issues including Kashmir, an Hurriyat (M) spokesman said such bold political initiatives was the only way for moving forward with the two countries.
Stressing that putting the resolution of Kashmir issue on the backburner may only create mistrust and acrimony between the two countries and vitiate the dialogue process, the Hurriyat (M) spokesman said the political leadership of the two countries should act with statesmanship and vision in order to work towards the resolution of all issues including Kashmir by starting a meaningful and resulted-orientated dialogue process.
Terming Kashmir as the core issue which had been the cause of confrontation between the two countries, the spokesman said sidelining Kashmir and concentrating on other issues between the two countries was not going to take the dialogue process anywhere.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Hoping that talks between the External Affairs Ministers of the two countries in Nepal would prove to be fruitful, the Hurriyat (M) spokesman said there was a need to take forward the dialogue process with consistency and commitment to create trust and confidence necessary for the resolution of issues.
He said Hurriyat (M) had consistently been stressing upon the two countries to resolve all their outstanding issues including the vexed issue of Kashmir through a process of dialogue and the conglomerate had always supported and had been ready to play its role in taking the process forward.
Hurriyat (M) spokesman hoped that amalgam believed that dialogue between the two countries would ultimately culminate in the resolution of Kashmir issue in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of the people of Kashmir which would usher a new era of peace and progress in the entire South Asian region.
