Srinagar, Dec 10 (KNS): Terming the human rights violation in Kashmir as an alarming situation, Democratic Political Movement (DPM) chairman, Advocate Muhammad Shafi Reshi on Saturday said that the consequences of the criminal human rights violation here will have negative impact in Kashmir.
In a statement issued to KNS on International Human Rights Day, Advocate Reshi said that from past five months, at least 100 civilian were killed while several thousands of people were maimed and blinded, which is glaring example of human rights of violation in Kashmir.
Advocate Reshi said that the world community also failed to protect the people of Kashmir from such gross human rights violation.
He said that the day is being observed at a time when the people from Kashmir to Palestine and from Myanmar to Sumaliya are being brutally killed and are facing atrocities as well.
Advocate Reshi further said that to muzzle the genuine voices of people, the forces are using weapons and tanks while the people who are fighting against such atrocities are being booked under black laws.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelDespite Court directions, the political leaders are being placed under house detention.
Expressing sympathy with the people who were maimed and blinded from past five months, Advocate Reshi said that despite being maimed, the youth are being arrested in injuring situation.
He said the world have turned their eyes and are maintaining the criminal silence over human rights violation in Kashmir.
DPM chairman questioned over the silence maintained by the world community for not playing their role in the demands (Right to Self-Determination) of Kashmiris.
While holding UN responsible for such violations in Kashmir, Advocate Reshi said that the situation in Kashmir could have been different if UN had played its role in resolving Kashmir issue according to the UN resolutions. (KNS)
