Srinagar September 17 (KNS): To mark Birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Department of Horticulture, Kashmir today celebrated the 71st Birthday of Prime Minister of India. 

To mark the day, a fruit plant sapling was planted at Centre of Excellence (CoE), Zawoora, Srinagar by Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (JKAS), Director General Horticulture. 

Director General said that the Department is committed to fulfill the Prime Minister’s mission of doubling the farmers’ income. 

On the occasion, Director General said that the Department is working tirelessly for social and financial upliftment of farming community by providing them benefits under various Central/ state Sponsored schemes.

 Concluding the event the Director General wished Prime Minister of India with good health, prosperity and happiness.(KNS)
