Srinagar, May 12 (KNS): Amid the ongoing global energy crisis and escalating tensions involving Iran, Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq on Tuesday expressed hope that peace would prevail soon and urged people to exercise restraint in their consumption of resources during this period of uncertainty.
“Let us hope that the conflict comes to an end soon. In such times, resources must be consumed with restraint and responsibility,” Mirwaiz said.
He also criticised the United States over the worsening situation involving Iran, alleging that Washington’s policies were contributing to instability and conflict across the world, particularly in relation to Tehran.

The senior cleric said that Iran’s proposals aimed at de-escalation and ending hostilities were “reasonable and justified,” while accusing the United States of maintaining a rigid and uncompromising stance.
Mirwaiz further added that while Iran was fully capable of defending itself, it was simultaneously making efforts towards reducing tensions and seeking a peaceful resolution to the conflict. (KNS)
