Srinagar, Mar 08 (KNS): Srinagar police on Wednesday claimed to have busted a Hizb ul Mujahideen module by arresting its three members in Bemina area of Srinagar today afternoon.
According to a statement issued to KNS, the officials said that a police party of west zone Srinagar during Naka checking at Bemina Bypass Crossing apprehended three suspects identified as Reyaz Ahmad Wani son of Mohammad Ramzan Wani resident of Dachan Kishtwar, Ikhlaq Ahmad Khanday son of Ghulam Rasool Khanday resident of Dachan Kishtwar, and Tawseeul-Nabi son of Ghulam Nabi Gundroo resident of main Kishtwar.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“On their checking police recovered two Pistols, two Pistol Magazines, 20 rounds, four grenades, one wireless set and a packet of explosive substance,” the statement reads.
The officials said that during preliminary investigation it surfaced that the trio was working with Jahangeer, an active militant in Kishtwar.
Srinagar police has registered a case FIR number 41/2017 under section 7/25 Arms Act, 3/5 Explosive Substance Act against these militants and further investigation has been taken up. (KNS)
