Srinagar, Jan22 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir police have attached three senior officers on the charges of failing to regulate traffic on Srinagar-Jammu national highway on January 20 and 21.
Director General of Police (DGP), SP Vaid while confirming this said the action is warning for non-performing officers. They have to perform or face action.
“This is a warning for other police officers. They have to regulate traffic on roads or face stringent action,” DG police SP Vaid told KNS.
He said that, on 20 and 21 Jan, people were put to lot of trouble and suffered a lot due to poor regulation of traffic on Jammu-Srinagar Highway.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The officers responsible have been attached and others put on duty have to take care of the traffic regulation of Srinagar-Jammu Highway.
Asking non-performing officers to desist from inaction in future Vaid said “We won’t tolerate any lapses in the traffic regulation system”.
Three officers attached include SSP Sanjay Kumar Kotwal, Deputy Superintendent of police in Banihal Nihar Rajan and deputy superintendent of traffic police in Kulgam Safdar Hamid Samoon. All the three have been attached with the office of Deputy Inspector General South Kashmir. (KNS)
