High Mast 108 Feet National Flag hoisted at Hyderbeigh, Pattan

 
Pattan 14, Aug (KNS): Maj Gen SS Slaria, General Officer Commanding, CIF (K) inaugurated the 108 Feet High Mast National Flag at Hyderbeigh, Pattan which has been constructed by the Indian Army with the assistance of Flag Foundation of India and dedicated to the martyrs of the nation and Awaam of Kashmir. 

The General Officer hoisted the National Flag in the presence of Senior Military, Civil, Police, CAPF officials and representative of civil society. the school children were also present for the function in unabridged patriotic tenor. To invigorate the event the boys band of Nida Convent School, Anantnag played various tunes including the National Anthem, The boys and girls Cadets of Govt Degree College, Pattan, affiliated to 3 J&K Bn NCC, were also present at venue to further kindle the spirit of nationalism and patriotism. 

The flag constructed in collaboration with Flag Foundation of India will not only instills a sense of pride and honour amongst the population but also honours our brave martyrs of the nation who laid down their lives fighting terrorism and integrity of the nation.

The project, an initiative of 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles, as part of Har Ghar Tiranga under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative of the Government of India is aimed to instill pride in our Tiranga amongst the Awaam. The installation of the high mast was completed in a record time of 30 days and is the highest and biggest national flag in the entire North Kashmir region.

SSP Baramulla Rayees Mohammad Bhat (IPS) and other Civil and Army officers, Public Representatives were also Present during Flag Hosting Ceremony, The General Officer appreciated the efforts of all those were involved in the project and lauded the timely completion of the same on the eve of the 75th Independence Day. 

Awaam of Hyderbeigh, Pattan also thanked the Indian Army and civil administration for gifting them such a monument of National importance on the occasion of 75th Independence Day.(KNS)
