Heavy Rainfall Brings Much-Needed Relief Across Jammu & Kashmir

Srinagar, July 7 (KNS): After enduring a prolonged spell of heat and humidity, people across Jammu and Kashmir finally received a welcome change in the weather as heavy rainfall lashed several parts of the region on Monday. The downpour brought temperatures down sharply, offering immediate respite to residents who had been struggling with soaring heat over recent weeks.

From the urban stretches of Srinagar and Jammu to the remote hill areas, the rain refreshed the parched landscape and restored a sense of calm to the Valley. The sudden weather shift has been widely appreciated, especially by those working outdoors and commuters who had been bearing the brunt of the harsh summer.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Meteorological forecasts now suggest that this cooler weather will persist through the coming week, with daytime temperatures expected to remain near or slightly below normal. Though humidity levels are likely to stay elevated during the monsoon period, the recent rainfall has brought a welcome pause to the heatwave conditions.

The change in weather has also come at an ideal time for students and parents. With summer vacations ending, schools across the Union Territory are scheduled to reopen from Tuesday. The cooler temperatures are expected to make the transition back to classrooms easier and more comfortable for students. (KNS)
