“Protests against such inhuman acts are our right and timely response is the need of hour. The protests in Pakistan and other countries need to be more organized as this is the only way to educate the world about the serious and grave situation in Kashmir,” the leaders said.

Speaking during the meeting, the leaders said the protest in India from Kolkata to Delhi by Indian civil society and students for raising their voice against the atrocities committed on innocent Kashmiris show that now the Indians also realize that atrocities are being committed on Kashmiris.
“So far, the state sponsored violence has claimed more than 60 innocent lives and has wounded more than 5000 among these injured are more than 100 children who have lost their eyesight because of the lethal pellet guns,” they said, adding that the hospitals of Kashmir are facing shortage of life saving drugs and even the inconvenience caused by the curfew which is in place for last 29days.
They said that stopping people from offering prayers and keeping then locked in their houses show the indifferent and biased attitude of the rulers. “The need of the hour is that world community needs to be doing more to stop state terror people are facing. The UN at this stage summon security council session and pass a resolution asking India to stop circle of violence and also send a message to the member countries that Kashmiris demand freedom which is their birth right,” they said.
