Srinagar, Feb 14 (KNS): Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir organized a condolence meeting at Sopore to pay respects and homage to Shaheed Ghulam Mohammed Bulla and Shaheed Ghulam Mohammed Mir on their forty first (41) and twenty one (21) martyrdom anniversaries.
The condolence meeting was presided by Muslim Conference Chairman Shabir Ahmed Dar, and was attended by besides others Chairman International Forum for Justice Mohammad Ahsan Untoo, Mahaz Azadi Qutub-I-Alam, Young Mens League Shakeel-u-Rehman, Khaleel Mohd Khaeel, Irshad Ahmed, Mushtaq Ahmed, Molvi Riyaz, Shariefudin Mir, Ibrahim, Firdous Asmi, besides others, the meeting started by the reciting of verses from al Quran.
Speaking on the occasion Shabir Ahmad Dar said that the both the martyrs Bulla and Mir are the shining stars of freedom movement.
Shaheed Bulla who was a born freedom fighter challenged the illegal occupation and was arrested for this.
During his custody he was tortured so much that he achieved martyrdom and became the first custodial martyr.
He was sincere and dedicated freedom activist and was strong in his conviction.

Shahed Ghulam Mohammed Mir was also kid in custody along with his associate Basher Ahmed Alias Doda Bara, when they were arrested in Chinkipora Sopore 21 years back by BSF.
After some hours their bullet riddled bodies were thrown road side.
The eye witnesses narrated the horror story of inhuman torture when they were arrested.
The forces wanted to know the whereabouts of their other associates but these two great mujahidin shut their mouth and never opened it again as they faced worst kind of torture and achieved martyrdom.
Qutub Alam said in his speech that the people of Sopore really fee proud of these great sons who sacrificed their today for our better tomorrow.
He said the mission of martyrs will be completed at every cost.
Hurriyat leaders paid rich tributes to martyrs of Kupwara encounter who fought valiantly against occupational forces and achieved martyrdom.
The freedom, loving people pray to Allah that the mission of these martyrs should reach to its logic conclusion and every effort will be made in this direction. (KNS)
