Have taken up clearance of backlog Haj Flights with GOI: Omar Abdullah

 Srinagar, May 16 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday said he has taken up the urgent need for more Hajj flights with the Government of India.


The Chief Minister said that ensuring a smooth and timely journey for the pilgrims is a top priority for the government.

Taking to X, he posted, I have taken up with the Government of India the urgent need to arrange additional Haj flights from Srinagar to clear the backlog of 1,895 pilgrims caused by recent flight disruptions.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelEnsuring a smooth and timely pilgrimage for our pilgrims is the Government’s priority.

This request comes after recent flight disruptions left 1,895 pilgrims waiting to travel to Saudi Arabia for Hajj.(KNS)
