In a defamation suit filed by Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Liberation Party chief, Hashim Qureshi against R. K. Yadav, former RAW officer and author of the book, 'Mission R&AW', Court of Additional District and Sessions judge, Srinagar Saturday directed the author to remain personally present on the next date of hearing.
According to a statement issued by JKDLP, the counsel for both the parties were present and the plaintiff Hashim Qureshi recorded his statement before the Court. He cited various reasons as to how the book had defamed him and his family moreover imposing a threat of life to him and his family.

He stated that the book is a complete bundle of lies that has left no stone unturned to defame the plaintiff.
Quershi cited various technical flaws that the author made in his book before the court. In light of these contradictions of the statements of the defendant the plaintiff recorded his statement and the same was kept as the part of record.
The court, as per the reports, strictly directed the counsel for defendants to call upon the other side for recording of their statement on July 25.
