With the arrest of two accused, Police have solved a blind murder case of a missing person in Harwan area on the outskirts of Srinagar city.

“Harwan Police worked out a mysterious blind murder case of a missing person namely Abdul Rehman Cheech son of Abdul Majeed of Maroot, Kalakot, Rajouri by arresting Rafiq Ahmad Bijran son of Ghulam Mohiudin and his wife Naseema of Posker, Kangan, Ganderbal,” SHO Harwan, Zahoor Ahmad said.

“The deceased was missing since June 2014 and his body was recovered village Mulnard on Thursday.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelDuring sustained interrogation both suspects broke down and ultimately confessed to the crime. The accused Mohammad Rafiq was son in law of the deceased while Naseema was his daughter. Both have been arrested on the charges of murder in case FIR No 46/2015 u/s 302 RPC registered in police station Harwan,” he said.

The autopsy and DNA analysis has been done by medical team.

People in the area have appreciated the SHO for his efforts to solve the murder case.
