Hardship fails to stop Kupwara student, scores 488 in Class 10

Kupwara, Jan 14(KNS): A student from Kupwara district has scored 488 out of 500 marks in the Class 10 examination, the results of which were declared on Wednesday.

Faizan Majeed Malik, a student of Government Boys High School, Guloora Langate, comes from a financially weak family and lives with his parents in a tin shed. His father, Abdul Majeed Malik, works as a daily wage labourer.

Faizan said he did not expect such a result and credited his parents and teachers for their support. “My father always encouraged me. I studied for long hours every day, even during cold nights,” he said.

He said the type of school did not matter and that dedication and effort were key to success.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelFaizan thanked his teachers, school staff and neighbours for their guidance and support.

His father said the family’s house remained incomplete but his son’s determination was strong. “I work during the day, and my son studies day and night. I am proud of him,” he said.

Faizan said he was inspired by a family member working as a veterinary doctor and aspired to become a doctor. He also acknowledged the support of his teacher Samiullah Malik.

Family members and locals celebrated the result, terming it an example of how determination can help overcome difficult circumstances.(KNS).
