Srinagar, Feb 02 (KNS): In a bid to provide assistance to the students to expose their talents, the Handwara police on Thursday sent 18 students from the Valley to Andhra Pardesh.
The students are scheduled to represent Jammu and Kashmir State in the upcoming Wadokai Karate Do championship, slated to be held at Vishakapatnum stadium in this month.
According to KNS correspondent, Fayaz Hameed, at least 18 students including two girls were today sent to Andhra Pradesh who are scheduled to represent JK state in the upcoming championship.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The students were flag off from the SP office today.
SSP Handwara, Ghulam Jeelani Wani told KNS that the aim of the police department is to expose the hidden talent of the youngsters particularly students.
Meanwhile the people hailed the role played by the police in assisting the students.
The coach of the 18 students, Faisal Nazir who is international referee, black belt 5th band said that he is thankful to the police department mostly SSP Handwara for helping them. (KNS)
