Handwara police restores cricket turf in Langate, locals express gratitude

Handawara May 17 (KNS): Handwara police on Tuesday made extraordinary efforts by restoring cricket turf in Langate town of Handwara, which was Long pending demand of local youth.

 
Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service (KNS), said that the Handwara police led by Divisional Officer (DO) Rashid Khan restored the cricket turf at Sports field Langate, by putting men and machinery as it was long pending demand of local youth.
 
Speaking on the sidelines of sports field restoration, Khan said that the restoration was made after local youth approached him. 
 
He said that days before, a representation of Langate youth called on him, where they raised the demand of sports ground restoration. 
 
"I being myself cricket lover, arranged curators, men and machinery to restore the sports turf so to engage local youth in sports activities", he said.
 
He also urged youth to engage themselves in sports rather to fall in drug menace so to become responsible citizens of society. 
 
Local from Langate , Bashir Ahmad, while lauding the efforts of Handwara police said that they are thankful of Handwara police for paying attention to sports activities.
 
 The restoration of cricket turf was long awaited dream of youth, and it has been fulfilled today by Handwara police, he said.
 
Meanwhile locals extended their heartfelt gratitude to Jammu and Kashmir police particularly to DO Langate for the restoration of cricket turf and installation of goal posts for sports activities. (KNS)
