Handwara, Mar 11 (KNS): On the directions of SP Handwara Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS, PCPG meetings cum Awareness programmes on corono virus (COVID-19) were held at Police Station Kralgund, Police Post Chogal and Police Post Langate in Handwara in which number of respectable citizens including Doctors, Sarpanches ,Panches, Numberdars ,Chokidars, other respectable persons of the areas participated in the meetings.
A statement issued to KNS readsmIn Police Post Chogal, the meeting was chaired by SP Handwara Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS, in Police Station Kralgund, the meeting was chaired by SHO Police Station Kralgund Iftikar Ahmad and in Police Post Langate the meeting was chaired by Incharge Police Post Langate Irshad Ahmad.
In the meetings, the participants raised issues regarding water crisis , shortage of electricity , repairement of electric wire and poles , repairement of roads, non availability of quality medicines, construction and repairement of bridges, special recruitment for youth of the area in Police department and other social issues which they are facing in their day to day life.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
In the meetings experts from health department were also invited who informed the participants not to panic and just follow some precautionary measures to protect themselves and their families from COVID-19.
The aim of the meetings was to strengthen the Police Public relationship and also to aware participants about social evils and precautionary measures for Corono virus (COVID-19).
In it's continous offensive against menace of drug abuse under the command of SP Handwara Dr. G.V.Sumdeep Chakravarthy-IPS Handwara Police has arrested 09 drug peddlers in different NDPS cases in the last two weeks.
At the end of meetings all participants were thanked for sparing their valuable time and were assured that the issues pertaining to Police will be redressed on priority basis and the other issues will be taken up to concerned departments.
Further participants have been exhorted to remain away from drugs and co-operate with police in sharing all information’s related to social evils so that curative steps can be initiated. (KNS).
