Handwara, November 8 (KNS): In an effort to curb the misuse of SIM cards for unlawful and anti-social activities, Handwara Police carried out a special inspection drive across Handwara, Qalamabad, Kralgund, and Vilgam areas of the district.
The drive, supervised by senior police officers, focused on verifying that SIM vendors comply with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) regulations and law enforcement guidelines. Officers inspected several outlets to ensure that vendors follow proper customer verification procedures before issuing SIM cards.
