Handwara, April 26:(KNS) To curb the drug menace in the Handwara area perticularly in Ramhal segment a police party of Police station *vilgam* headed by Hc Tariq Ahmad , laid naka at *Manzgam bridge * 

       During checking the police party intercepted one person namely **Fareed Ahmad Bhat @ fareed kalgan S/o Ali Jan Bhat* 

R/o Tumna .* 

During search of the said person *10 grams* of Heroin like substance has been recovered from his possession , which he was to sell in the local populace of upper Hafrada especially in college going children .

Accordingly in this regard case Fir no *30/21 u/s 8/21 NDPS* act has been registered in *Police Station Vilgam* and legal action under laid down procedure has been taken. 

          This act is hugely hailed by general public of the area. Handwara police appeals the people of Handwara District to come forward with the information regarding drug peddlers so that curative steps can be taken against them. Handwara Police is committed to continue its efforts and war to make Handwara drug free.(KNS)
