Srinagar, Apr 16 (KNS): Coming down heavily on People’s Democratic Party led coalition government, Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) accused Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti of playing in the hands of its partner Bhartiya Janata Party.
KEA said soon after taking over the reins of the State by PDC Chief Mehbooba Mufti, killings of civilians by the army has started.
KEA said no stringent action has been taken so far in these killings which speak volumes about the power the PDP has got in the coalition government.
“It is clear now who is at the helm of affairs of the State. PDP has no say in the coalition government. It has only suspended an ASI for mishandling the situation. Chief Minister should have exerted its power to and got the killers booked,” said KEA Chairman Showkat Chowdhary.
KEA has demanded immediate arrest of the killers and asked government to reign in its forces which are out to kill the civilians.

“Mehbooba Mufti has decided to visit Handwara and meet the victim families. It is adding salt to the wounds of the victim families. If she had real power, she would have pressurized defense ministry to book the killers,” said Showkat Chowdhary.
He said killing spree has again plunged Kashmir into deep morass and only PDP is responsible for this.
“People had voted PDP to power not for getting killed. People do have resentments and the protesters can’t be killed. GoI is biased against Kashmir. A small incident outside the State stirs the government, but there even after killing of five civilians and injuring scores of others, government is unaffected,” said KEA Chairman.
KEA threatened that they would mobilize people and take to streets if government fails to arrest the killers and bring peace in the Valley. (KNS)
