Srinagar, Apr 13 (KNS): Jama’at Islami Jammu and Kashmir (JeI) expresses its deep concern and anguish over the worst ever possible treatment of the Kashmiri people at the hands of the Indian forces and the establishment itself only for being attached to their cherished faith in Islam and also for demanding their genuine right of the self determination promised to them by the Indian establishment through the Security Council of the United Nations long back in 1947 and 1948 and thereafter reiterated by the government of India a number of times. But despite the passage of more than sixty years the promise is still pending and not fulfilled with the result that the peace of the sub-continent is at stake for which the people of Kashmir cannot be blamed.
Now for the disturbance the Indian forces instead of asking their government do punish the unarmed peaceful people by resorting to indiscriminate use of force which they have licence to do.
This practice has been going on since 1947 onwards unabated but it got momentum soon after ninety uprising and since then a number of human massacres were committed by the Indian forces along with the local SOG of police and thousands of the innocent people got killed and injured, huge damage to properties apart. Most badly affected are womenfolk and children.
The Handwara massacre is another such brutal act which can be better termed as the state sponsored terrorism in Kashmir going on without any effective notice from the world human rights bodies.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The United nations and other associated human rights bodies have utterly failed to check the human rights violations of the innocent Kashmiris for the reasons better known to the authorities controlling these toothless bodies.
The Muslim Ummah has also shown indifference towards the badly suffering Kashmiri Muslims. The people here seem to have been left to bear all these atrocities calmly and never expect any relief from any political power in the world. What happened in Handwara is sufficient evidence against the state sponsored atrocities and persecutions which the hapless people in Kashmir are facing.
The Indian establishment has become a most dreaded imperialist and colonial fascist power for the people here.
Jama’at Islami J and k while strongly condemning the brute force employed by the Indian forces against the unarmed peaceful protestors in Handwara asks the World community and the Human rights bodies to take notice of state sponsored brutality against the common masses and take effective measures to get it stopped.
Jama’at further expresses its solidarity with the bereaved families and wishes a speedy recovery of the injured.
Jama’at Islami also registers its strong protest against the injustice perpetrated by the Indian forces upon the people of Kashmir. (KNS)
