Srinagar, Dec 26 (KNS): Welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s surprise visit to Lahore on Friday to meet his Pakistan counterpart Nawaz Sharif, Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) president and MLA Khansahib Hakim Mohammad Yasin today urged leadership of both the countries for inclusion of Kashmiris in the dialogue process.
“It is a good beginning as Kashmir is a political issue and only political authorities can solve it. But there is a need to institutionalize the dialogue process so that vexed issues like Kashmir are solved. Inclusion of Kashmiris in the dialogue process is also must so that the process moves ahead smoothly,” he said in a statement to press issued from Jammu.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“It is good that ice has been broken, but there is need to carry forward the dialogue process as Kashmiris are the biggest beneficiaries of Indo-Pak friendship. The development would strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two countries and usher in an era of peace and stability in the region,” the MLA Khansahib said in a statement to KNS.
He added Kashmir is a vexed issue and nobody expects it to be solved overnight. Hakim Yasin suggested that the dialogue process between the two estranged neighbours can remain uninterrupted only if it is not held hostage to domestic politics. (KNS)
