Srinagar, Mar 06 (KNS): Chairman People's Democratic Front ( PDF) ,Hakeem Muhammad Yasin has strongly condemned the use of brute force against the NHM employees who are peacefully demonstrating for their just rights.
In a statement issued to KNS, Hakeem Yasin while criticising the government for adopting an oppressive policy towards the government employees has said that seeking redressal of grievances is the fundamental right of every citizen.
He said that use of lathi charge against peaceful NHM demonstrators reflects frustration of the Govt. Which has failed on all fronts to satiate aspirations of the people in general and employees fraternity in particular.
Hakeem Yasin has said that NHM employees have worked tirelessly during the strike calls and unrest and turmoil and have saved thousands of lives by providing timely Medicare to injured. “Not only this, it is due to the contribution of NHM employees that J&K state has been awarded No.1 in providing primary health care adding that the infant mortality rate has also been significantly reduced as compared to other states of the country.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe has hailed the services being rendered by the NHM employees adding that the pivotal role of NHM in the Health and Medical education department cannot be ignored.
While launching a scathing attack to the PDP-BJP coalition for its total failure to run the govt, Hakeem said that this dispensation has added to the problems and woes of the people. He said the present dispensation is not prepared to listen to the woes of the people and use inhuman ways to quill the public uprising caused due to utter failure of the government to solve problems of the people.
Hakeem Yasin has asked the Govt. to formulate a comprehensive and transparent regularization policy for the NHM employees on the analogy of other contractual employees working in other state government departments. He said services of all NHM employees should get automatically regularised after completion of minimum five years and they should be entitled to get all other perks available to the regular govt. employees.
