Srinagar May 04 (KNS): Chairman People's Democratic Front ( PDF) Hakeem Yaseen has welcomed the announcement of Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha to provide special Financial Incentives for Covid-19 Warriors of Health and Medical Education Department of J&K.
In a statement issued to Kashmir news service (KNS) on Tuesday Hakeem Yaseen while welcoming the announcement of special financial incentive for Covid-19 warriors, has demanded to provide the incentive also to the other health care workers especially HDF, ASHA, NHM, Sanitation workers in the health and medical education department despite getting meagre wages to work shoulder to shoulder with doctors and paramedics to control spread of the dragon pandemic.
He said all the frontline workers of the Health & Medical Education Department are rendering extraordinary services in the challenging Covid pandemic times for saving the precious lives of the patients. He said financial incentive to health care workers dealing with a pandemic, will go a long way to boost their morale.
Hakeem Yaseen has welcomed the decision of the government to give an extension in the services of doctors retiring in near future to ensure the availability of human resource in health care institutions.
He had urged the LG to request services of all those doctors and civil servants who had acquired ample  Covid management experience last year to get benefits of their experience in checking the spread of the devastating 2nd wave of the deadly Covid pandemic.
He said the experience of these medical professionals and civil servants would considerably help the administration to effectively deal with the evolving Covid situation.
Hakeem Yaseen has also urged for fast-tracking the Covid vaccination drive in rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir besides setting of dedicated Covid- 19 treatment hospitals in remote areas.
He has also appealed to the masses to lend a helping hand to the administration in its effort to contain the spread of the Cobid -19 pandemic which has raised its ugly head in the nook and corner of Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS)
