Srinagar, Oct 16 (KNS) : Former Minister and People’s Democratic Front (PDF) President Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Thursday emphasized the need for ensuring all requisite arrangements for pilgrims and devotees visiting the revered shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Nooruddin Noorani (RA) at Charar-e-Sharief during the upcoming Annual Urs celebrations.
In a statement issued here, Hakeem Yaseen urged the district administration Budgam and the Waqf Board authorities to make foolproof arrangements in view of the large number of devotees expected to throng the shrine from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
He called for coordinated efforts by all concerned departments including Power Development Department (PDD), Jal Shakti, Health, Traffic Police, Fire and Emergency Services, and Municipal Committee Charar-e-Sharief to ensure smooth conduct of the auspicious occasion.
He said that proper sanitation, uninterrupted power and water supply, and availability of medical and transport facilities are essential for the convenience of devotees.
“The shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Nooruddin Noorani (RA) holds immense spiritual significance for people of all faiths. The annual Urs symbolizes peace, brotherhood and spiritual awakening. Therefore, all necessary arrangements should be in place to facilitate the devotees who visit to pay obeisance and seek blessings,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Hakeem Yaseen further informed that Poshakbandi will be observed as per tradition, followed by Shab-Khwani on the intervening night of October 19, while the main Urs celebrations will be observed on October 20 at the shrine complex.
He urged religious scholars, Imams, and community elders to participate in the spiritual gatherings and spread the message of love, tolerance and unity as preached by Hazrat Nooruddin Noorani (RA), popularly known as Alamdar-e-Kashmir.
The PDF President also appealed to the administration to ensure special traffic management plans and cleanliness drives in and around Charar-e-Sharief town during the Urs days. He stressed that vendors and shopkeepers should cooperate with authorities to maintain sanctity and discipline in the shrine area.
Reiterating his respect and devotion towards Alamdar-e-Kashmir (RA), Hakeem Yaseen said that the teachings of the great saint continue to guide humanity towards harmony and compassion.
“It is our collective duty to uphold and propagate the message of peace and service to mankind, which forms the essence of Kashmiri culture and Sufi tradition,” he added.(KNS)
