Kashmiri Pandits inseparable part of our composite culture, ethos

Srinagar June18 (KNS): Chairman People's Democratic Front (PDF ) Hakeem Yaseen has greeted people of jammu and kashmir especially pandit brethren on the auspicious occasion of Mela Kheer Bhawani.


      In his felicitation message Hakeem Yaseen while greeting pandit brethren on Mela Kheer Bhavani, has prayed that the auspicious occasion may prove harbinger of peace and prosperity in strife torn jammu and kashmir. He said  annual celebration of the auspicious Mela reinvigorates and strengthens the bonds of communal harmony and brotherhood , the age old legacy and the hallmark of kashmir's composite culture and ethos. He said it was heartening and a moment of proud to see muslim and pandit brethren celebrating thier religious and social festivals mutually in close unison despite many provocations by the vested interests to break thier mutual  communal attachments, respect and love for each other. He hoped that the people of jammu and kashmir would continue to keep the flag of communal harmony and mutual trust always high to defeat their enemies. 

 
      Describing exodus of kashmiri Pandits in 1990 as the darkest chapter of kashmiri history, Hakeem Yaseen said that the valley of seers and was eagerly waiting for thier honourable return to the kashmir.
 
He said kashmiri pandit community was inseparable part of kashmir's rich and composite ethos adding that the basic concept of " Kashmiryat " was incomplete without kashmiri Pandits. (KNS)
