Srinagar, Jan 03 (KNS): Several prominent social and political activists of Budgam from NC and PDP today joined People's Democratic Front at a function organised at PDF Head Quarters, Srinagar.
The Chairman PDF Hakeem Yaseen welcomed them in the party fold with warm greetings.
Prominent among the new entrants included a great social and political personality of Budgam district Abdul Ahad Mir of Chewdara Beerwa who has retired as Jt. Director NYC and is state vice president of Aman Committee, Advisor Development Alliance and Convener of Regional Development Foundation (Elaqaie Tarqyati Foundation) Beerwa.
Speaking on the occasion, Hakeem Yaseen cautioned the people against machinations of opportunistic political parties who change colours like chameleons to deceive people to again get hold of lost power.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe said that these political parties have since 1947 bartered interests of the state to remain in power adding that they are people who eroded autonomy of the state to appease their mentors and power Lust. He asked the people to strengthen hands of secular parties as the country is facing a great challenge of disintegration on the hands of communal forces.
PDF Chairman assured the people that his party would fight tooth and nail against communal forces and work for the uplift of downtrodden and poor sections of the society. He said coming of more and more political and social personalities into the PDF fold will prove beneficial for the overall socio-economic development of Budgam district. (KNS)
