“There must be a time-bound investigation to fix responsibility. If any department is found guilty of negligence, strict action should follow. Public safety cannot be compromised,” he asserted.
The former minister also urged the district administration and the Power Department to immediately inspect all exposed electric lines in the area.
“This is a wake-up call. Preventive action must be taken without any delay to ensure such tragedies are not repeated. One family has already lost their son—no other parent should have to go through this pain,” he added.
Yaseen said the youth of Kashmir deserve a safer environment. “It is the duty of the government to protect its citizens, especially in rural belts where basic infrastructure is often overlooked. The pain of this family must not be in vain,” he said.(KNS)
