Srinagar August 15:(KNS)   Chairman People's Democratic Front ( PDF) Hakeem Yaseen has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of noted religious scholar, social reformer and political leader Mian Bashir Ahmad , who passed away at his Kangan residence last evening. 

      In a condolence message, Hakeem Yaseen while condoling demise of Mian Bashir Ahmad, who was father of former Cabinet Minister Mian Altaf Ahmad, highlighted his contribution in bringing religious , social and political awakening in jammu and kashmir. 

"  He was not only a reverred religious scholar and social reformer but  a real savior of poor and destitute, who throughout his life struggled for ameolirating the lot of downtrodden sections of the society, "Hakeem Yaseen said while paying rich tribute to  Late Mian Bashir Ahmad. He said contribution of Late Mian Bashir Ahmad in the overall socio- religious and political transformation of jammu and kashmir will be written in golden words in the history of jammu and kashmir. His life and preachings will continue to act as a beacon light for imbibing religious and moral values in the society  for a long. 

      PDF Chairman while conveying his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family,particularly to Mian Altaf Ahmad,  has also  prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.(KNS)
