Srinagar, Mar 17 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) Chairman Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Tuesday lauded the role of medical fraternity while dealing with Novel Corona Virus in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), besides lauding the role of medicos to deal with Corona Virus scare, PDF Chairman urged the need to ensure 100 percent screening of all people approaching Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed deep concern over the reports that outside laborers who are approaching Valley in bulk for employment are evading medical screening.
He said fool proof screening of all incoming passengers at Lakhanpur, Kathua, railway stations of Jammu, Banihal and Qazigund should be ensured to set all apprehensions at rest in this regard.
While appreciating the pivotal role of doctors, paramedics and other supporting staff on job to contain spread of Corona virus, Yaseen urged for fool proof screening and sanitization of all the incomers to the valley including laborers from neighboring States of Punjab, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal and others.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He also appealed to the people in general to cooperate with the field staff of health and medical departments in the efforts to stop spread of Corona virus. He demanded sanction of special incentives for the doctors, paramedics and supporting staff deployed on screening job of people and working round the clock in the control rooms set up by the government for the purpose.
Meanwhile he urged upon the government to lift ban on 4G internet services in Valley immediately which can be very useful for students to get online teaching - learning, in the wake of closure of educational institutions. (KNS)
