Srinagar, Oct 26 (KNS): PDF Chairman and MLA Khansahib Hakeem Yaseen has expressed concern over the acute shortage drinking water in most of the villages of his Khansahib constituency.
He has demanded to start water tanker service especially in Jawalapora, Hardwail, Churmujroo, Wutarpora, Zabguloo, Parnewa, Dachun villages till alternate arrangement for adequate drinking water supply is made on war footing basis.
Hakeem Yasin was responding to the complaints of deputations from various areas of Khansahib constituency, which called on him today and put forth their grievance regarding acute shortage of drinking water in third respective villages.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Hakeem Yasin said that Government should immediately initiate measures for improving drinking water supply as the existing old water supply schemes in these areas are lying totally defunct.
He also called for execution of the 2nd phase of water supply scheme Sukhnag so that about 25 left over village of Khansahib are brought under it for supply of drinking water supply.
He also urged the need for execution of Tossamaidan-Zempathri water supply scheme which will provide drinking water supply to about 70 villages in Khansahib and Beerwa constituencies. (KNS)
