Srinagar, May 12(KNS): Dr. Shujhat Ahmed, Executive Officer of Haj House Srinagar, has confirmed that flights for the Haj pilgrimage from Jammu and Kashmir have been delayed since May 7, 2025.
However, the scheduled flights for May 14 and 15 will proceed as planned, with the 14th's schedule being aligned with that of the 15th.
Dr. Ahmed explaining to KNS that out of 11 flights originally planned for the region, 3 will operate on time on May 14 and 15. These flights will carry 3378 passengers, while 7 flights are still pending and will be rescheduled based on logistical considerations, including landing slots in Madinah and hotel bookings.
Among the 3378 passengers, 3622 are from Jammu and Kashmir, with 480 having already left Delhi Embarkation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelAdditionally, 10 passengers are still pending from Mumbai and Hyderabad, and 242 from Ladakh will be traveling from Srinagar. The remaining passengers will be accommodated according to the revised schedule.
The final deadline for the completion of all travel arrangements is June 1, 2025. Dr. Ahmed added that discussions with the CGI, Ministry, and Haj Committee are ongoing, and further updates will be provided once the landing slots are confirmed.
In his message to the Haji Sahiban (pilgrims), Dr. Ahmed assured that there is no need for concern and urged the pilgrims to remain at ease. He emphasized that the Haj pilgrimage will begin on June 1, and, Inshallah, all pilgrims will reach their destinations on time, although the final schedule depends on landing slot availability in Madinah and Jeddah.(KNS).
